THE MISSION AND VISION

The Vision of The House Ministries of Tofield is: "As you come to him, the living Stone - rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him - you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 2:4-5)

The Mission of the House Ministries of Tofield is: "For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of sever suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia - your faith in God has become known everywhere." (1 Thessalonians 1:4-8)

These words from the Scriptures not only describe for us our Vision and Mission, but  they also give us hope, purpose, and direction.

We believe the following will happen as we apply them to our lives:

1.  We will become “Living Stones” - a believer who is dead to self, willing to pay any price to live in purity and power because they are loved by God and love Him, whose manifest presence transforms lives and cultures. (1 Peter 2:4-5)

2.  2. We will become living demonstrations of a God who is infinite and personal, with a strong emphasis on relationships. The Christian is to be the demonstration of the existence of God. If we as individual Christians, and as a church, act on less than a personal relationship with Father God and with other men, we fail our generation.

3.  3. We will become effective communicators of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by preaching the Word in season and out of season. The Word in text is the Word in the flesh, Jesus Christ. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Our goal is to bring "heaven to earth" - "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10)
