Are you ordinary?

Well, this coming week is going to be very busy and very exciting. Graham Cooke arrives and the conference beginnings this Thursday night at 7:00 pm. Many of you will be helping as well as being  participants of the conference.

Let me remind all of us to be in serious prayer these days here at the House. We need the presence of Father God and without it we might as well call it off. We need to be like Moses.

Now if I have indeed found favour in Your sight, please teach me Your ways, and I will know You and find favour in Your sight. Now consider that this nation is Your people.” Then He replied, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” “If Your presence does not go,” Moses responded to Him, “don’t make us go up from here. How will it be known that I and Your people have found favour in Your sight unless You go with us? I and Your people will be distinguished by this from all the other people on the face of the earth.” The Lord answered Moses, “I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favour in My sight, and I know you by name.” Then Moses said, “Please, let me see Your glory.” (Exodus 33:13-18)

This needs to be our prayer.  "Please, let me (us) see Your glory" - especially Lord during this up coming conference and all of the time here at the House.

I want to "deputize" everyone of you to serve those who are our guests during the conference. Your responsibility is to make them feel loved and special and at home. Smile a lot. Say hi to those you don't know as well as those you do. Help them in anyway you can. We have leaders all around who will help you help them. All of us working together will make this a great event. Thanks.  P.S. We could use help keeping the place clean. So if you see something that needs attention, either clean it up yourself or notify those in charge.

Enough of the conference. Let me share something that's on my heart.

Jesus asks this question - "And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing out of the ordinary? Don’t even the Gentiles do the same?" (Matthew 5:47)

When Jesus says, "what are you doing out of the ordinary?", I believe He is saying that we as Christians are not to live "ordinary", but supernatural lives as He taught us to live.

What are you doing?  In other words "do something" that is different from the way the world does things. For example: love your enemies, not just those who love you.  If some one asks you to do something, do it with a joyful heart and even do extra, go beyond what they asked you to do.

There is more, but you get the idea. Just read Matthew 5:38-48 and you will see what I mean.

The main issue in all of this is that Jesus is teaching us how to walk supernatural lives verses naturally.  How are you and I different than anyone else walking on this planet - "what are you doing out of the ordinary?"  Ask yourself - people watching you or interacting with you, is it different than someone who doesn't know Jesus?

Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for God’s wrath is coming on the disobedient because of these things. Therefore, do not become their partners. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light — for the fruit of the light results in all goodness, righteousness, and truth — discerning what is pleasing to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:6-10)

So one more time - "what are you doing out of the ordinary?"

Surprise - A Thief!

I had my computer stolen!!

When you first understand that someone came and took something of yours, and now it is gone, you almost can't believe it. There is a bit of a shock that you experience.  Like, you can't believe it, even though you know it's true.

With my computer, it was connected to our DVD duplicator, duplicating a funeral service. But with only about 36% of the duplicating done, someone walked in the office, unhooked the computer from the duplicator, and walk out with my computer.

Cindy and I were sitting within about 30 feet of all this happening and didn't hear or notice anything. Pamela was walking around close by and saw nothing strange. One moment it's there and the next moment, it's done. Surprise!

It reminds me of what a couple of scriptures say about a thief.

Matthew 24:43 But know this: If the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

You probably thought I was going to put; Do not steal - Exodus 20:15. But I guess people know that you don't take what is not yours.  It's just, the surprise of the thief coming, unannounced, and then, its done, my computer is gone.  No chance of changing it.

But know this: If the homeowner had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.” (Luke 12:39, 40)

I can't imagine what will happen to someone who is expecting to go with the saints and meet Jesus in the air and forever be with Him, only to find out He came and because you weren't ready, He left without you.

“Now concerning that day and hour no one knows — neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son — except the Father only. As the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. For in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah boarded the ark. They didn’t know until the flood came and swept them all away. So this is the way the coming of the Son of Man will be: Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and one left. Therefore be alert, since you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. But know this: If the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into. This is why you also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Matthew 24:36-44)
We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. For we say this to you by a revelation from the Lord: We who are still alive at the Lord’s coming will certainly have no advantage over those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 HCSB)

A thief can have my computer. What I pray about is; I don't want the Lord's coming to be like the thief for me; what about you?

Satan Lies, Pt. 2

My sin is my attitude, my thinking, that I don’t want to do or go God’s ways and because I did or at least tried to go a different way, there is a price that has to be paid once I come to this in repentance.  And the only price amount that is acceptable to Father God is what Jesus did on the cross.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now this is the amazing part. In order for Jesus to be the acceptable price to make payment for my sin was, He had to be perfect. Perfect meaning He was sinless. Meaning He walked on the planet for thirty-three (33) years as a man and yet did not sin -   once!!
He was tempted like we are, but He did not yield to a temptation - not once!

Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin.

Now how was that possible?  If Jesus was a true man when He walked on the planet, how could He have lived without committing one sin.

Well, first of all He was born without a sin nature.

Luke 1:34  Mary asked the angel, “How can this be, since I have not been intimate with a man?”

Luke 1:35  The angel replied to her: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.

Now in case you forgot Adam and Eve were also born without a sin nature and yet they sinned. Also once you and I accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we now live in His divine nature and no longer live in a sin nature and yet we have the choice to sin.

2 Peter 1:3-4 His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires.

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Second, to how could Jesus have walked on the planet thirty-three (33) years without sinning was because He came from residing in Heaven. Once you have been in Heaven and seen everything there, there is no trading that for what we have here.

John 3:13 No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.

There is a difference of being in the presence of The Lord and walking on the streets of gold.

All of us can come before the presence of The Lord but if we are truly seated in the heavenlies, now, then sin - the devils lies - become unattractive!

Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.

Ephesians 2:6-7 Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens, so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

So think about this for a moment. Jesus was sinless, without blemish and yet walked as man on the planet for thirty-three (33) years.

Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of the Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

And He paid off your and mine sin account in full by placing Himself on the cross, and yet we find ourselves still listening and yielding to the lies of Satan. Give your head a shake!

Satan Lies, Pt. 1

Satan’s Lies

Genesis 3:1 Did God really say, You can’t eat from any tree in the garden?

Genesis 3:4-5 No! You will not die, the serpent said to the woman. In fact, God knows that when you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

Matthew 4:3 If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.

Matthew 4:6 If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:

He will give His angels orders concerning you, and they will support you with their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. (Psalms 91:11-12)

Matthew 4:9 And he said to Him, I will give You all these things if You will fall down and worship me.

We know when Satan lies.  It’s when what is being said or thought of is that which causes offense and thus arouses opposition or error to God’s way and plan.

Matthew 16:23 But He turned and told Peter, Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me because you’re not thinking about God’s concerns, but man’s.

Offense -  skandalon - any person or thing by which one is (‘entrapped’) drawn into error or sin - occasion to fall (of stumbling), offense, thing that offends, stumbling block.

1 Corinthians 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.

Galatians 5:11 Now brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

Satan’s lies almost always come with a promise, but it ends up every time as a false promise.

This world is God’s world because He created it.

Psalm 24:1-2

The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the Lord;

for He laid its foundation on the seas and established it on the rivers.

Colossians 1:15-17

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For everything was created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.

So anything and/or everyone that comes along and tries to get you to do something that is contrary to what God created or setup, is a lie and it won’t work no matter how hard you try to make it work.  It won’t!

We see this everyday, all around us.  Man trying to legislate, manipulate, tolerate, bully, change, contrary to what God has set up or created, is happening everyday, all around us.  But in the end, nothing is accomplished, because what God has set up is true and real and nothing will change that. At least nothing will change that, that will bring satisfaction or the acceptance or the peace that man thinks will happen once everyone agrees with him.

You see the whole world can agree with you and even live the lifestyle that you want lived, but if it is contrary to God and what God has set in place, nothing will bring you the peace that you are looking for - nothing.  You’re just kidding at your Daddy’s shins, like a spoiled children trying to get his own way.

Your and my fulfillment comes only when we stop the believing in the lies and stop fighting God  and His plan and His ways and come into alignment.  And we can only do that through His Son, Jesus Christ.

In order to come into alignment with Father God, we need to first of all repent.  Repentance is to change our thinking!  Repentance says, nothing will be accomplished by believing the lies of Satan.  He doesn’t have the answers to life, God has.  So my thinking has to be changed.

My sin is my attitude, my thinking, that I don’t want to do or go God’s ways and because I did or at least tried to go a different way, there is a price that has to be paid once I come to this repentance.  And the only price amount that is acceptable to Father God is what Jesus did on the cross.

Examine Yourself!

1 Corinthians 11:28a says: “So a man should examine himself;”  Later on it says in verse 31: “If we were properly evaluating ourselves, we would not be judged, 32 but when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, so that we may not be condemned with the world.”

Examining ourselves is not as easy as we think.  First reason why it is so hard is because we are prejudice towards ourselves.  We can much easier examine or judge someone else because of that prejudice.  But no matter, God tells us to examine ourselves or we then would come under His judgement.

Well maybe its better to do it ourselves, than to be disciplined by our Lord.

I have been trying to do exactly that - examining myself, judging myself, asking God to point out to me what’s wrong and what do I need to change.  In doing this I find it can only really be done in a spirit of humility.  I need to stop justifying myself and face the facts and then deal with those facts.

In doing this process I came across something that I thought was very provoking.  I was studying for one of my upcoming classes that I will be teaching next week.  It’s a class using the book by Francis Schaeffer entitled “Death in The City”.  The chapter is called “Man without the Bible” and the subject is how will God judge man who has no Bible in his background.

Francis Schaeffer is studying Romans 1:28-32 which says: And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong. 29 They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God- haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful. 32 Although they know full well God’s just sentence — that those who practice such things deserve to die — they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.

Now comes the interesting part.  There are no chapter breaks in the Greek and so this continues into chapter 2:1 which further says: Therefore, any one of you who judges is without excuse. For when you judge another, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things. 2 We know that God’s judgment on those who do such things is based on the truth. 3 Do you really think — anyone of you who judges those who do such things yet do the same — that you will escape God’s judgment? 4 Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? 5 But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.

Then Schaeffer says this:  When he talks to the man without the Bible he may say to him, “I want to ask you a question: do you keep your own moral standards?” I have yet to find the man, who when we are in good empathy, will not say, “No, sometimes I break them by mistake, but at times I deliberately break them.” And this is what God’s Word says will be the basis of the judgment of those who do not have the Bible. The judgment rests upon the individual’s true moral choice.

Now if that is what is going to happen to man without the Bible, what will happen to man with the Bible.

Its been good to examine myself.  I only want what God wants.  I love Him with all my heart, my mind, my soul, my strength.  I only want to serve Him and Him only.

How thankful I am that He is a loving, forgiving, merciful God.  Praise His Holy Name!

Dead to Self - Test

Matthew 5:38-42
You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But I tell you, don’t resist an evildoer. On the contrary, if anyone slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. As for the one who wants to sue you and take away your shirt, let him have your coat as well. And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to the one who asks you, and don’t turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

Jesus is teaching what it looks like to be dead to self.  There are four tests in this passage for us to test ourselves and see if we are dead.

1.  On the physical level - "if anyone slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also." Jesus is teaching that we must rid ourselves of the spirit of retaliation, of the desire to defend ourselves and to revenge ourselves for any injury or wrong that is done to us. To be struck on the face is humiliating and insulting.  But an insult can be given in other ways. It can be done with the tongue or a look. Our Lord desires to produce in us a spirit that does not take offense easily at such things. That of not seeking immediate means of retaliation. The Lord wants us to reach a state where we are indifferent to self and self esteem.

1 Corinthians 4:3-5
It is of little importance to me that I should be evaluated by you or by any human court. In fact, I don’t even evaluate myself. For I am not conscious of anything against myself, but I am not justified by this. The One who evaluates me is the Lord. Therefore don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.

We should become indifferent to personal criticism, insult, and abuse, and to anything that men may do to us.  Remember the characteristic of "Poor in Spirit".

2.  On our "rights".
     A.  Our legal rights. "As for the one who wants to sue you and take away your shirt, let him have your coat as well."  I believe this principle has been violated today more than any other. The spirit of the world is demanding their rights, but this is not so for the Christian. According to Jewish law a man could never be sued for his outer garment though it was legitimate to sue for the inner one. He had a right that no one could take that from him. He had a legitimate right to keep the coat, but Jesus says yield that, give it away also.
    B.  a second right is the right of our possessions. Our behavior and our spirit being Christlike is much more important than the clothes we wear. Matthew 6 tells us that possessions are something we are not to be concerned with. We are to set aside our temporal goods, for things that are devoted to concerns of eternity. Meekness and lowlines of heart are the characteristics needed at this point.

3. On our acts of "service".  "And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two." This compelling to go a mile is a reference to a custom which was very common in the ancient world, by means of which a government had a right to commandeer a man in a matter of transport. A man might be doing his own work when suddenly a band of soldiers would come and say to him, "you must carry this baggage for us for one mile". Christ says your attitude should be one of willingness to the point that you offer to go two.

The principle is that not only are we to do what is demanded of us, we are to go beyond it in the spirit of our Lord's teaching. Do we have resentment at the demands of someone else who asks for your service. As Christians our state of mind and spiritual conditions should be such that no power can insult us.

4.  On our "money" "Give to the one who asks you, and don’t turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you."

It is this denial of self once more.  If our spirit is: “What I have I hold, and what is mine is mine, and I resent it when people ask me for special funds.  This spirit is not the spirit of a Christian in Christ’s teaching.  A Christian will give to others even if it means denial of self.

He uses little things!

Our trip this year in Mexico was one of the most rewarding and yet one of the most in spiritual battle that we have experience in recent memory.  The spiritual battles began before we left and it was then that I knew this was going to be a great trip.

God gave us great ministry in Mexico.  Many women came to the Lord in one of the woman shelter ministries.  Breakthrough happened with many of the girls that are under Randy and Sandy’s care.  Opportunity to help special needs had its beginning conference.  God confirming that our team was hearing from Him in church services, happened over and over.  Ministry in the men’s rehab was the best we have ever had. Our ministry with the fishermen was great.  Coming back we have a renewed love and commitment to the work in Mexico, and we believe there is more we can do in the future. Praise His name.

We had said our goodbyes to our friends, Randy and Sandy Huebert, and got in our vehicles headed for San Diego, Ca.. On our way through the city of Ensenada, we stopped for a Starbucks.  As we stopped, a man was asking for help, and Trina wanted to help him and as she went to get her money, she couldn’t find the case that it was in.

The team in the van looked all over and couldn’t find it, and so everyone came to the conclusion the case with the money and receipts that we had in Mexico was left behind. Because of the importance of the receipts, Trina and I got in one of the vehicles and headed back to Randy and Sandy’s place, leaving the rest of the team at Starbucks.

Once we arrived at Randy and Sandy’s we looked all over and could not find the case, and then down the stairs came Pastor Javier. Pastor Javier is the pastor of the church that Randy and Sandy attend and where I spoke the day before on Sunday.  The church is going through a very difficult time.

He was very emotional and very glad to see us.  He began sharing with us the battle that he was going through and we could see that he needed sometime to share with us.  We went into a quite room where we could talk and he began to share what was happening to him.  He was so emotional and both Trina and I, along with Randy and Sandy knew why we came back.

As we were talking with him the team called us through Shauna texting Robert, to let us know they found the case. Right then we knew this had nothing to do with the case, but us coming back to help and encourage the Pastor.

When we told Pastor Javier that the reason why we came back was God had sent us back for him. That God was thinking and caring for him. That he was special in God’s eyes and that God had not forsaken him in this difficult time he was going through.

Isn’t it amazing who God is and how He uses the littlest of things to redirect us and use us for He purposes.

This was not only an encouragement for Pastor Javier, but also for me.  Many times things are said about my apostolic gifting and there are times that I wonder if this is really from God, or something that we (man) have made up in our minds.

In times like these, it amazes me, that God is saying to me, “Hey, I need you here to help this pastor.”  Wow! For me that is humbling to realize God is in control and He is directing things to happen according to His plans and not ours. And that He will use whatever to get us to the place He wants us to go and be His hands, His feet, His voice for Him.

Romans 6:13
And do not offer any parts of it (your body) to sin as weapons for unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God, and all the parts of yourselves to God as weapons for righteousness.

Eye Witnesses - He's Alive

Acts 13:30
But God raised Him from the dead, 31 and He appeared for many days to those who came with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now His witnesses to the people.

It’s believed by most Biblical scholars that Dr. Luke wrote this about 10 to 12 years after Jesus rose from the dead.  So when he says, “He appeared for many days to those who came with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now His witnesses to the people”, he is saying it to those that were eye witnesses of Jesus death and His resurrection.

Many other scriptures say similar things of eye witnesses to what happen to Jesus some 2,000 years ago.

Luke 23:47-48
When the centurion saw what happened, he began to glorify God, saying, This man really was righteous! 48 All the crowds that had gathered for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, went home, striking their chests. 49 But all who knew Him, including the women who had followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

Luke 24:44-49
Then He told them, These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you — that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled. 45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 He also said to them, This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day, 47 and repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And look, I am sending you what My Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high.

Acts 1:21-22
Therefore, from among the men who have accompanied us during the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us — 22 beginning from the baptism of John until the day He was taken up from us — from among these, it is necessary that one become a witness with us of His resurrection.

Acts 2:32
God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.

Acts 3:15
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

Acts 5:30-32
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had murdered by hanging Him on a tree. 31 God exalted this man to His right hand as ruler and Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.
Acts 10:37-41
You know the events that took place throughout Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were under the tyranny of the Devil, because God was with Him. 39 We ourselves are witnesses of everything He did in both the Judean country and in Jerusalem, yet they killed Him by hanging Him on a tree. 40 God raised up this man on the third day and permitted Him to be seen, 41 not by all the people, but by us, witnesses appointed beforehand by God, who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.

1 John 1:1-4
1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes,
what we have observed and have touched with our hands, concerning the Word of life — 2 that life was revealed, and we have seen it and we testify and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us — 3 what we have seen and heard we also declare to you, so that you may have fellowship along with us;
and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

False Teachers

I don’t want to bring fear upon anyone, but the days that we live in are days where we see false teachers and false prophets, who were once good, now leading the Church astray.  It’s called the emerging church and it’s teachers and preachers are men and women, who were once true, and are today false and leading many astray.

This is not new.  There has always been false teachers and false prophets, pastors, apostles and evangelists. It’s as old as the Old Testament, but whats new about all this is they are coming from among us and its happening now as we live.

Acts 20:28-31
Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock that the Holy Spirit has appointed you to as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood. 29 I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 And men will rise up from your own number with deviant doctrines to lure the disciples into following them. 31 Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning each one of you with tears.

Deuteronomy 13:1-4
If a prophet or someone who has dreams arises among you and proclaims a sign or wonder to you, 2 and that sign or wonder he has promised you comes about, but he says, Let us follow other gods, which you have not known, and let us worship them, 3 do not listen to that prophets words or to that dreamer. For the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul. 4 You must follow the Lord your God and fear Him. You must keep His commands and listen to His voice; you must worship Him and remain faithful to Him.

Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves.

2 Peter 2:1
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.

One of those false teachers of our day is Rob Bell.  Almost every church has his videos that were called Nooma.  These DVD’s were light, but good for the most part and yet today, Rob Bell has completely forsaken his roots and is now leading many followers astray.

His first big false teaching came out in his book called “Love Wins”.  A book that denies the reality of hell.  Now this following announcement shows you and others his true heart.

“Rob Bell, controversial author and former pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church, affirmed and openly endorsed gay marriage Sunday (March 17, 2013) at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral in response to a question regarding same-sex marriage, the Christian Research Network reports. Bell said: "I am for marriage. I am for fidelity. I am for love, whether it's a man and woman, a woman and a woman, a man and a man. I think the ship has sailed and I think the church needs -- I think this is the world we are living in and we need to affirm people wherever they are." Bell went on to say that while it used to be fair to equate evangelicals with social conservatism, that assumption no longer holds true. "I think we're witnessing the death of a particular subculture that doesn't work," he said. " ... [W]e have supported policies and ways of viewing the world that are actually destructive. And we've done it in the name of God and we need to repent." Bell is known for questioning, challenging and redefining the beliefs of orthodox Christianity. His book Love Wins caused a stir by discounting the existence of hell and his newest book, What We Talk About When We Talk About God, is said to "tackle misconceptions about God."

The gray is vanishing and everything is becoming more “black and white”.  We are entering the days where there will be no tolerance for the Word of God. For some, this is already true.

Know the Word. Give your life completely to HIm for He cares for you.

Prayer Guide

The Missions Trip for Mexico leaves early tomorrow morning.  As you know, our missions trips are different from most.  The entire time that our team is gone they are involved in ministry whether it is at a lockdown rehab for women, men’s prison, men’s rehab, ministry to families who have special needs children, encouraging Pastors and Missionaries, church services, youth and children’s  ministry and feeding both spiritually and physically the very poor, just to name a few.

This is warfare and our troops need us back home to hold them up in prayer 24/7.

The following are Bible verses the you can pray over them.  Take each one separately and go through the verses praying each one upon them.  Listen to Holy Spirit as you pray and also pray the things that He is mentioning to you as well. Do this every day from now until the teams return, March 19th, 2013.  Thank You!

The members of the team are: Jarret, Trina and Twila Wideman, Sandra Thiessen, Jodi Williams, Jenn Thiessen, Pamela Misner, Shauna Faucher, Julia Ehli, SheriLyn Fehr, Micheal Sutherland, and Allan Hunsperger.

Psalm 141:2
May my prayer be set before You as incense, the raising of my hands as the evening offering.

Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Matthew 21:21-22
Jesus answered them, I assure you: If you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea, it will be done. 22 And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

John 14:12-14
I assure you: The one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

John 17:15
My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

John 17:20
“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

Ephesians 1:16-19
I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. 17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength.

Ephesians 3:14-21
For this reason I kneel before the Father 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named. 16 I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit, 17 and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of Gods love, 19 and to know the Messiahs love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us — 21 to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Ephesians 6:18-20
Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints. 19 Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. 20 For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.

Philippians 1:9-11
And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment, 10 so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

Thank you for spending time daily in prayer.  This mission is yours as well.
